Introduction

Brainboxes is a world leading designer and manufacturer of PC data communications hardware. Since 1984, substantial developments in R and D and manufacturing have gained us a reputation for products that are easy to use, highly configurable and extremely reliable. All hardware design, software design and product manufacture is done in- house at our Liverpool headquarters giving us an unparalleled level of flexibility and control.

In 1994 Brainboxes formed part of the first wave of companies to achieve the global ISO9001 quality management standard. In 2001 we were one of the first companies to move to the new ISO9001:2000 standard that covers every aspect of Brainboxes design, manufacture and customer support functions. We demonstrated our commitment to wireless technologies and our technical expertise when in January 2001, we became one of only 50 companies worldwide to have a Bluetooth SIG qualified product- the Bluetooth PCMCIA card. This clearly illustrates the company’s position at the forefront of developments in Bluetooth wireless technology.

Since then Brainboxes has continued to develop leading edge products, meeting the most stringent qualification tests. Brainboxes mission is to provide innovative, small form factor, PC data communication products. Our customers benefit from a ‘Perfect Fit, Custom Design’ facility, built on many years of expertise. This saves customers the costs associated with developing these capabilities in- house.

Brainboxes software is fully Microsoft approved and compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP and Server 2003. The use of advanced design and manufacturing techniques won us the prestigious European Electronics Industry Awards, "Manufacturer of the Year 2005". Exceptional quality and reliability from lean manufacturing and six sigma processes have enabled Brainboxes to offer customers a lifetime warranty and technical support for all serial products from purchase.
