Introduction

i-module Ethernet is integrated into the user application to connect it cost-effectively with an existing Ethernet LAN. Counterpart is any PC in the network, e.g. in the central office, without additional hardware - as if the control unit were connected directly. A virtual COM port driver for Windows is available.

The new i-module Ethernet 2.0 is equipped with a new pinning at the network interface: To simplify the common operation with the i-module ISDN, a fixed common allocation for an external RJ45 connection has been introduced

i-module modems have in common:

  • Complete communication module for integration on pin boards
  • Uniform small size of 56x56 mm
  • Uniform hardware interface (RS 232/5V)
  • Uniform software interface(extended AT commands)

Apart from data transfer, additional features are available:

  • 2 alarm inputs and 2 outputs
  • alarm notification by e-mail
  • remote configuration by telnet
