Introduction

The A6pci1531A is a 6U compactPCI shared memory board for sharing data between distributed systems. The board uses a fiber communication system for sharing data between remote locations. To use you simply connect multiple shared memory boards in a loop using optical fiber. Only the register for default settings and shared memory area can be accessed from software

The board is ideal for linking remote systems and linking VME bus, PCI bus and compact PCI systems.The board has a built-in communication function with a bit rate of 250Mbit/s and data communication speed of 4MBytes/s Communication function for all hardware. Mapping of shared memory area can be modified and memory size can be expanded. For reliability there is built-in adjacent node failure, cable break detection function and added CRC and data backup which ensures highly reliable communications.

The board is fully Plug and Play compatible and device drivers and sample programs for Windows 95/98/NT and 2000 are available.
