Introduction

The M22 uses intelligent power switches to control a load of 2A per channel. The output state is detected and can be read back. This way, a deactivated output can also be used as an input. When an error occurs, an interrupt can be triggered for each channel. This interrupt is maskable. Overload and overtemperature detection for each channel combined with ESD protection make the M22 nearly indestructible - an ideal choice for sophisticated applications requiring critical process output.

The M22 is based on the M-Module™ ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module™ carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers.
