Introduction

The M68 is a DSP-based, four-channel, analog signal output M-Module™ with 16-bit resolution. The minimum and maximum values for each output are individually configurable through software. Internal RAM of the DSPs is used as program memory and data buffer. The data buffers can be filled via DMA.

The M68 is particularly well suited for applications that involve voice output or function generation. Its external trigger options make the M68 an ideal subsystem for complex simulators, automatic testing systems and similar applications.

In addition to the M68's standard firmware, custom functionality can be implemented by using the DSP developer's kit from Analog Devices.

The M68 is based on the M-Module™ ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module™ carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers.
