Diamond Point D2133 Chassis

Introduction

This DIMM-PC chassis was designed to replace a standard PC in a lighting control system for a customer. Inside initially was a mains power supply, PC/104 CPU card and a CAN BUS card. In an effort to reduce the cost, the chassis was subsequently slightly modified to incorporate a DIMM-PC backplane

Chassis is made out of mild steel and is zinc passivated. The chassis is extremely tough, it can even be jumped on. To finish off some silk screening was added giving a professional look.

Diamond Point designed this chassis and the backplane (D2139). Diamond Point also assemble, fully test and load the customers software. The customer only has to configure a DIP switch to get the unit to work.
