Diamond Point D2161 DIMM-PC Backplane

Introduction

The DIMM-PC backplane offers a low cost backplane for use with the JUMPtec DIMM-PC range of PC modules. The board is available with a the majority of the connectors optional which helps to cut down on the cost of the unit saving the cost of unused connectors. All standard signals are brought out from the DIMM-PC module such as ISA, IDE, floppy, parallel, two serial ports, keyboard etc. The DIMM-I/O socket supports the DIMM-VGA module, DIMM-Ethernet module, DIMM-Serial module and the DIMM-COMBO module. All the relevant signals are brought out from the DIMM-I/O module.

All standard signals are brought out from the DIMM-PC module such as ISA, IDE, floppy, parallel, two serial ports, keyboard etc. The DIMM-I/O socket supports the DIMM-VGA module, DIMM-Ethernet module, DIMM-Serial module and the DIMM-COMBO module. All the relevant signals are brought out from the DIMM-I/O modules to external connectors such as COM1 (RS232 or RS485), COM2 (RS232 or RS485), COM3, COM4, PARALLEL, ETHERNET, TFT, VGA, STN, TOUCH I/F, KEYBOARD, FLOPPY, HDD LED, ETHERNET LED and IDE.

A chassis D2192 is available to encase this baseboard. Diamond Point designed this chassis and the backplane). Diamond Point also assemble the backplane and test the system.
