Introduction

This DIMM-PC chassis was designed to encase the D2162 DIMM-PC backplane for a customer. A DIMM-PC CPU module and a DIMM-PC/COM1 card (giving two additional serial ports) are inside. External connectors are four serial ports and a power inlet.

Chassis is made out of mild steel. The chassis is extremely light and compact but is still quite tough. To finish off some silk screening was added giving a professional look.

Diamond Point designed this chassis and the backplane (D2162). Diamond Point also assembled the finished units.
