Introduction

The AE12 adapter board can be used to evaluate an ESMexpress® CPU module on a COM Express™ carrier board.

The adapter is type 2 basic form factor compliant in accordance with the COM Express™ standard by PICMG. It adapts the pin-out and the mechanics of an ESM™ module to COM Express™.

ESMexpress® modules are Computer-On-Modules in accordance with a proposed ANSI standard currently under development (ANSI-VITA 59, RSE Rugged System-On-Module Express). Together with an application-specific carrier board it builds a semi-custom solution for industrial, harsh, mobile and mission-critical environments.
