CC103

Introduction

The CC-103 is a state of the Art Conduction Cooled Embedded computer providing the most flexible standard yet conceived for small UAV applications. Its modular construction allows for very precise configuration to exactly meet project requirements negating high NRE costs and long delays in development time. Based on PMC for expansion, the designer can specify from one to 5 slots and know exactly the size of the unit. If another slot is needed later in the project this can simply be added with minimal additional work.

Supporting three Intel main line embedded processors, the CC-103 can provide a low cost 800MHz Celeron M up to a 1.8GHz Pentium M for maximum performance but with very low power consumption. Supporting up to 1GByte of DDR-DRAM, memory bandwidth is no longer an issue. There are various options for storage from Compact Flash Socket, Front USB interface for easy in-the field updates to the extensive range of main storage offering standard Hard Drives or the most sophisticated solid state drives available from 512MB to 128GB as standard with even larger capacities available to special order.

Communications are fully covered with up to four Serial ports either all RS232 or with the option of two as RS422, four USB 2.0 and one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port. The Intel Extreme Graphics 2 video controller offers resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 pixel with 2D and 3D acceleration.

Power consumption can be as low as 13Watts providing ideal platform for a range of mobile applications.

Small Form-Factor Conduction-Cooled Standard (SFCS)

JMS Rugged has devised a pre-defined mechanical standard to help designers know the exact size of their specified computer and how any additional expansion slots will impact on these dimensions.

The standard unit is measured as standard length, half width with height made up from the height of the base unit plus a three expansion slots. Different configuration and permutations possible but will always be pre-defined and will always provide exact dimensions.
