Contec's FXA2000-G is an access point that conforms to IEEE 802.11n/a/b/g wireless networking standards and supports a wide range of input power (5 to 30 VDC) and PoE. FXA2000-G's lightweight and compact design enables a smart installation with included magnets and tapping screws. FXA2000-G is configurable to both be an access point and station. This product can be used as a Wireless LAN converter for wired LAN device (bridge)s. This product is provided with a connector protection cover and a security slot for theft proof.
FXA2000-G supports 24 channel operation (W52/W53/W56/W58*1) in the 5 GHz (IEEE802.11n/a) range, and in the 2.4 GHz (IEEE802.11n/g), you can choose from channels 1 to 13ch. So, it is possible to design a flexible wireless network to compensate for external interference.
FXA2000-G supports three modes of operation:
- Access Point - The device serves as a base station for client devices to connect to under the access point. The unit supports up to four virtual access points
- Station - The device serves as a client device (slave station) to connect to a station access point. This effectively turns the unit into a wireless bridge - any Ethernet devices connected to the RJ-45 port will be connected to the upstream access point.
- Repeater - The device operates simultaneously as a repeater access point and a station and it serves as a repeater (only one access point is supported in this mode)
