Contec's FXE2000-G is a wireless LAN board that conforms to IEEE 802.11n/a/b/g standards of various countries and features a wide input power supply (5 to 30 VDC) and can be configured either as an access point or station. The unit can also be powered via PoE, Just connecting this product to a LAN port of an LAN-compliant equipment, then the equipment will feature the latest standards-compatible higher security, stable communication and easy maintenance without its OS or CPU.
FXE2000-G supports 24 channel operation (W52/W53/W56/W58*1) in the 5 GHz (IEEE802.11n/a) range, and in the 2.4 GHz (IEEE802.11n/g), you can choose from channels 1 to 11ch. So, it is possible to design a flexible wireless network to compensate for external interference.
FXE2000-G supports three modes of operation:
- Access Point - The device serves as a base station for client devices to connect to under the access point. The unit supports up to four virtual access points
- Station - The device serves as a client device (slave station) to connect to a station access point. This effectively turns the unit into a wireless bridge - any Ethernet devices connected to the RJ-45 port will be connected to the upstream access point.
- Repeater - The device operates simultaneously as a repeater access point and a station and it serves as a repeater (only one access point is supported in this mode)
