Diamond Point to drive computing on BLOODHOUND SSC Land speed record attempt. When the engineering team at Bloodhound SSC needed a reliable partner to provide some of their most stringent embedded computing requirements they naturally considered Diamond Point after previous successful projects. Our popular Athena II processor modules will provide multi channel data acquisition for the development of the Land Speed Record Car’s highly complex control system. Commenting on the collaboration John Vaines, Managing Director of Diamond Point, said: "We at Diamond Point are very excited by the whole BLOODHOUND story and are very proud to have been asked to help out on BLOODHOUND's embedded computing needs. As the UK comes to terms with its dwindling manufacturing base and looks at the cost to the country from our over reliance on the services / banking sector, it is initiatives like Bloodhound we need to fire the next generations enthusiasm for real engineering. |
