Introduction

Diamond Point International has extended its range of board level computers with the introduction of the powerful µATX D2151-S and ATX D2156-S board size Mainboards from Fujitsu Siemens, designed specifically for industrial applications.

The D2151-S and D2156-D Industrial Mainboards integrate an Intel® 945G Express chipset designed for Intel Pentium 4 processors and DDR2 667 SDRAM memory. The boards are capable of supporting the highest performance processors in the family with clock speeds currently up to 3.6GHz, such as the Pentium 4 661 Cedar Mill. They support up to 4GB of DDR2 SDRAM.

Provided on-board are GBit LAN Ethernet Controller, Serial ATA 2 RAID, UDMA100 IDE, Intel®Graphics Media Accelerator 950, Realtek ALC260 2-channel HD Audio and USB 2.0, together with Instantly Available PC (IA-PC) and advanced thermal management/system monitoring facilities.

The D2151-S µATX board incorporates one PCI Express x 16 connector, one PCI Express x 1 connector and two PCI slots. The D2156-S ATX board includes one PCI Express x 16 connector, two PCI Express x 1 connectors and four PCI slots.

A choice of 800MHz Pentium® D, 1066/800/533MHz Pentium® 4 or 533MHz Celeron® D processors with support for Hyper-Threading technology and optional DDR2 667, DDR2 533 or DDR2 400 SDRAM is available.

Also incorporated are a silent fan with an independent temperature related processor and fan supervision and control, noise reduction for optical and hard disk drives, a safe standby facility which prevents data loss in S3 (save to RAM), recovery BIOS for restoration of a corrupted BIOS and HDD password protection for ATA5/ATAPI5 disk drives.

The production of the boards is certified by the Ecology Audit (ISO 14001) and the PCB is lead and halogen free in accordance with UL 3104 ML 94V0, JPCA-ES-01-1999.

Long-life capacitors, RoHS compliance, a second serial port, a special tin-plated PCB for enhanced durability and an extended life of over 3 years enable the D2151-S and D2156-S to provide optimal hardware platforms for a host of industrial applications in both ATX and µATX standards.
