Introduction

Diamond Point International, a company positioned at the forefront of industrial embedded computing technology, has announced the appointment of John Vaines as deputy managing director. A well-respected sales leader in the embedded systems market, John will be responsible for the management of Diamond Point’s worldwide sales and marketing operations.

John previously held the position of sales manager at Diamond Point until eight years ago when he took up the position of U.K. country manager at SBS Technologies, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of open architecture embedded computer products, which was acquired by GE last year. At SBS Technologies John was responsible for managing the U.K. sales of all SBS products to a wide range of OEM customers serving the commercial, communications, enterprise, and defence systems markets.

“As we move through a period of sustained expansion, this is an important step for Diamond Point," said Sherman Kemmer, managing director of Diamond Point. “John proved to be an important member of our sales team during his previous tenure with us. He has extensive experience in sales management, with particularly deep expertise in the military embedded systems market infrastructure and will be extremely valuable as we continue to implement our strategy for higher growth," he added.
