Aitech M580

Introduction

The M580 graphics PMC is designed to deliver high performance graphics in harsh environment applications. Based on the advanced 3Dlabs Permedia3 graphics processor, it provides superior graphics processing power combined with extensive encoding and decoding capabilities. The M580 delivers high resolution graphics, offers video overlay and support for various monitors.

The 3Dlabs Permedia 3 graphics processor, with its 32Mbytes of frame buffer SDRAM array supports high resolution 2D and 3D applications. Additional features on board the M580 include input and output video formats ranging from non-interlaced high-resolution displays to standard interlaced formats such as NTSC and PAL.

Input analog video for overlay applications may be injected into the M580 through any combination of NTSC/PAL and composite/S-Video source.

In addition to standard non-interlaced RGBHV interface, the M580 support output formats including PAL/NTSC (in Composite/S-Video output formats), PanelLink (DVI flat panel), and LVDS interface.

Extensive software package is provided, supporting all on board capabilities including X11, OpenGL, standard VGA, and input video overlay.
