Aitech M585

Introduction

The M585 Multi-Standard Graphics/Video PMC is designed to deliver high performance graphics in harsh environment applications. Based on the advanced 3Dlabs Permedia3 graphics processor, it provides superior graphics processing power combined with extensive encoding and decoding capabilities. The M585 delivers high-resolution graphics, offers video overlay and support for various monitors.

The 3Dlabs Permedia 3 graphics processor, with its 32Mbytes of frame buffer SDRAM array supports high resolution 2D and 3D applications. Additional features on board the M585 include input and output video formats ranging from non-interlaced high-resolution displays to standard interlaced formats such as NTSC and PAL. Other video signal levels can be customized to support various displays such as MFDs. The M585 also supports selectable aspect ratio, external sync input to synchronize video output to an external sync source.

Input analog video for overlay applications may be injected into the M585 through any combination of NTSC/PAL and composite/S-Video source.

In addition to standard non-interlaced RGBHV or RGsB (sync-on-green) interface, the M585 supports output formats including PAL/NTSC (in Composite/S-Video output formats), Interlaced RGsB, and PanelLink (DVI flat panel) interface.

Extensive software package is provided, supporting all on board capabilities including X11, OpenGL, standard VGA, and input video overlay.
