Introduction

The ioXtreme and ioXtreme Pro PCI Express solid state storage devices boost productivity for PC & workstation applications that are I/O intensive or bandwidth starved. The ioXtreme Pro builds on the industry leading performance of the standard ioXtreme by adding proprietary X-Link technology that allows you to aggregate multiple ioXtreme Pros with one standard ioXtreme card over the PCI Express bus. The ioXtreme products bring the world’s fastest storage to enterprise PC's and workstations, including the desktops of independent media artists, film compositors doing development, editing and point-cached work.

This is the only difference between the drives. The ioXtreme Pro adds proprietary X-Link™ layering technology that allows you to aggregate multiple solid state storage devices over the PCI Express bus. Scale performance by adding one or more ioXtreme Pro cards to your ioXtreme base for ultra-demanding work such as cinema quality rendering, high-resolution video playback, and scientific computing. For systems with multiple cards, the system must contain one ioXtreme.
