Introduction

The Advme7501 is a VME bus compatible CPU board with a PowerPC750 processor (300MHz, 400MHz or 500MHz versions). The board features a VME Bus Master/Slave function with a system controller. Memory is provided via a socket for SO-DIMM (SDRAM). Dual-port RAM accessible from the VME Bus Master makes it possible to use the main memory as a share memory. Communications is provided by a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port and four RS-232C serial ports. There is a CompactFlash socket to store application programs and data files. Other features include 512KBytes of SRAM, real-time clock (battery backup) and a PMC slot for easy I/O expansion. A VxWorks BSP is available.
