Aitech C772

Introduction

Aitech's C772 is a rugged MIL-STD-1553 Single Board Computer based on IBM PPC750 PowerPC® microprocessor.

The C772 board is powered by a G3 PowerPC® high performance, low power microprocessor, featuring state of the art RISC technology. It offers superior computing power together with 1 MB L2 cache, 128 MB of DRAM with ECC, 8 MB of Flash EPROM, and up to 512 MB of Flash File memory, all embedded on a single VMEbus card.

The C772 has a MIL-STD-1553B bus interface, allowing speedy and flexible I/O expansion through the VME P2 connector.

The board also features numerous additional system functions including fast Ethernet, Ultra SCSI, up to four high-speed multi-protocol serial ports, up to four standard UART ports, RTC, a watchdog timer, and up to four user programmable timers/counters. In addition, it is equipped with two standard conduction-cooled PMC module slots. The board's PCI-based architecture assures high performance while offering full compatibility with the VMEbus specification, Revision C.1 (ANSI/VITA 1-1994) using Tundra's Universe II PCI to VME bridge chip.

The C772 highly integrated design guarantees the highest performance and versatility available on any rugged conduction cooled (or air-cooled) VME single board PowerPC® computer.
