Introduction

The TOP64D expands the Themis VME64x product line with new AMD Opteron™ Single and Dual-Core processors. A TOP64D system can be configured with either one or two Opteron™ 1.8GHz Dual Core or 2.2GHz Single Core Processors, bringing four core SMP 64-bit processor enterprise server performance levels and connectivity to demanding VME64x applications. Well equipped with multiple Gigabit Ethernet, USB2.0, U320 SCSI, SATA, IDE, Floppy, PCIExpress, and VITA 41 interfaces this computer brings industry leading connectivity, VME64x, and Powerful Quad 64-bit Processing Power to the VME market. The TOP64D runs all of the most popular operating systems.

I/O expansion is supported via the on-board PCI, PCI-Express, and VITA 41 VXS connectors. I/O expansion carrier cards support an additional two or three X/PMC slots. Enhanced graphics capability is available with a Themis TGA-7000 PMC graphics expansion board. VITA 41/VXS support is optional with a Gigabit Ethernet or PCI-Express interface on P0.
