IntroductionThemis Computer's new TP32™ is the first in a new family of 6U VMEbus computer boards based on the Intel® Pentium® M Processor. The TP32 is functionally compatible with the Themis USPIIe-USB™ Single-Board Computer. The TP32 supports 32-bit Sun® Solaris™ 10 as well as the Windows and Linux operating systems. Functional compatibility with the USPIIe-USB and a well defined migration path for the Solaris Operating Environment makes the TP32 an easy upgrade choice. The TP32 utilizes a Intel® Pentium® M Processor, with clock rates of up to 1.8GHz. An on-board PMC Slot allows expansion using a wide variety of PMC cards. The cost-effective TP32 in a single-slot configuration features two Gigabit Ethernet ports, support for Dual Ultra320 SCSI channels and a single 64-bit/133MHz PMC slot. Memory is expandable to 4 GB of DDRII-400 ECC memory. The 64-bit PMC slot can be used for local I/O or graphics expansion with Themis' optional TGA-7000™ graphics card. Further I/O expansion is available via 64- bit VME X/PMC carrier cards. An optional I/O expansion board, occupying a second VME slot, significantly extends I/O capability. The 2P2e carrier card offers multiple I/O expansion options, including two additional X/PMC slots. This expanded I/O configuration provides an AC'97 audio codec, a third Gigabit Ethernet port, two multiprotocol serial ports and a software readable front panel rotary switch. These features make it ideal for data and telecommunications applications. XMC slots support PCI-express graphics controllers can be added for high performance graphics applications. The 2P3 carrier card provides three additional PMC slots, for expanded system functionality |
